Oceans Design’s ABS degassing Towers are perfect for systems with lower flow rates in the range of 10-100 GPM. These degassing columns come with an integrated air pump to provide a forced air, counter current air flow to water flow configuration, which increases the operational efficiency of the unit. A variety of sizes are offered but custom sizes are also available to meet specific site applications.
These degassing columns can be wall mounted, or free standing on one of our stainless-steel stands. Water is introduced at the top of the degassing column and trickles down a random packed media bed. Air is introduced at the bottom of the degassing column traveling in a counter current direction of the water flow carrying out dissolved gasses such as CO2 and Nitrogen while saturating dissolved Oxygen. Water from the filter can be discharged directly to the tank through an open channel or piped to the final destination. These degassing columns are perfect for smaller research systems and recirculating systems where higher densities are required.
