What is a touch tank?
A touch tank is an aquarium designed for audience participation, consisting of shallow water, sand, and aquatic wildlife. With the guidance of the teacher or staff, observers are given the opportunity to reach into the tank, interact with different animals and learn more about them in a tactile way.
Our Marine Touch Tank Systems offer a unique hands-on experience for those who would, under normal circumstances, only experience these incredible animals and their habitat through glass or as an image in a magazine. Aquarium Touch Tank Systems allows students to view creatures through a crystal clear viewing window. At the same time, their shallow depth enables participants to touch and pick up the animals, offering an intimate experience with these creatures that provides a one-of-a-kind educational environment.

The touch tank components may include bead filters, UV Sterilizers, degassing columns, cartridge filters, water chillers or heaters, pumps, aerators, moving beds, inline heaters, and touch screen control boxes.
