Flow Sensors

Flow sensors are essential devices that measure the movement and velocity of water in aquaculture systems. These sensors provide critical data on water flow rates, ensuring that aquatic environments maintain optimal conditions for fish and other marine species. By monitoring flow, operators can regulate water circulation, improve oxygenation, and enhance nutrient distribution, which are vital for healthy growth and survival. Designed for durability and resistance to harsh aquatic environments, these sensors often feature real-time data transmission capabilities, allowing for remote monitoring and immediate response to changing conditions. With accurate flow measurements, aquaculture managers can optimize system efficiency, promote sustainability, and ultimately increase productivity.

  1. GF Signet Type 2000 Micro-Flow Flow Sensor

GF Signet Type 2000 Micro-Flow Flow Sensor

    Request a Quote

The Type 2000 Micro Flow Rotor Sensor is constructed of Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) which provides high material strength. The 2000 offers two flow ranges starting at 0.11 or 1.13 lpm (0.03 or 0.3 gpm), for clean process liquids, regardless of color or opacity.

This sensor can be connected to flexible tubing or rigid pipe, and it uses standard hardware for mounting. Only one moving part and a low pressure drop across the sensor reduces operating costs and maintenance requirements.

Engineered specifically for small pipe diameter applications, the Type 2100 Turbine Flow Sensor provides accurate readings in two flow ranges: 0.3 to3.8 lpm and 3 to 38 lpm (0.1 to 1 gpm and 0.8 to 10 gpm).

The injection-molded PVDF body and ceramic bearings provide excellent chemical compatibility and long service in dosing and batching applications. Union piping and tubing connections along with removable NEMA 4X electronics allow for easy assembly and field replaceability. The 2100 can be used with DN8 (1/4"), DN10 (3/8"), DN15 (1/2") tubing, or DN15 (1/2") piping for simple installation. End connections are available in PVDF for hose barbs, fusion socket or IR/ butt fusion, and in PVC for socket or NPT thread.

  3. GF Signet Type 2507 Mini-Flow Flow Sensor

GF Signet Type 2507 Mini-Flow Flow Sensor

    Request a Quote

The Type 2507 Mini Flow Sensor contains a free-running rotor that is driven by the fluid flow. Within the given measurement range, the rotational speed of the rotor is proportional to the fluid flow rate.

Magnets built into the rotor trigger an electronic switch in the top of the sensor creating a square-wave output. Both opaque and transparent fluids can be measured with kinematic viscosities between 0.2 to 20.0 centistokes.
