Value Valve VF-7 316 Stainless Steel butterfly valves are the ultimate choice for secure and reliable shutoff in various applications. The VF-7 features an ISO-5211 stem and pad, enabling compatibility with any ISO-5211 actuator, setting it apart from other manufacturers who often provide only an ISO pad and a specialized stem. The investment cast disc of the VF-7 incorporates stiffening vanes to reduce pressure drop and increase allowable pressure, while its flat edge design allows for smooth sliding through the seat, enhancing performance and extending seat life. The pin-less shaft design, splined connection internal to the disc, and three bearings (including a bronze or stainless steel bottom bearing) ensure stability and durability throughout the valve.
In harsh conditions, users have the option to choose a Nylon 11 coated body, which offers exceptional protection against corrosion. Additionally, for applications involving saltwater, a Nylon 11 coated 316 Stainless Steel disc is available to prevent crevice corrosion. The stem retainer system of the VF-7 is among the best in the industry, with a stainless steel pin retaining the stem through the top of the shaft, outside the flow stream, and rotating within a slot machined in the top mounting pad, allowing for easy removal while keeping the stem isolated from the media. The VF-7 valve body is typically made of standard CI wafer or Ductile Iron for larger sizes (8-12"), and there is an option for a one-piece body cast in either 304 Stainless Steel or 316 Stainless Steel. All VF-7 valves are ABS Type approved for ship service and approved for NSF-61 potable water service. With various seat options, including EPDM, White EPDM, Buna N, Viton, Viton for Steam, Silicone, and Neoprene, the VF-7 series offers versatility to meet different application requirements. Operators such as top trigger, bottom trigger with 10 positions, or infinite position by flipping the notch plate, along with iron gears or stainless steel gears with or without chain wheel operators, make operation and control convenient and secure. The lockable handles and gears further enhance safety and reliability.
